OGDEN, Utah – The Big Sky Conference has selected the men’s and women’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Portland State’s Sarah Dean and Northern Arizona’s Brian Shrader were named women’s and men’s track AOTW, while Northern Arizona’s Julia Viberg and Sacramento State’s Alberto Millan were named women’s and men’s field AOTW.

Shrader, a junior from Flagstaff, Ariz., finished second in the 5,000 meters with a time of 13:49.26 at the Payton Jordan Invitational this past weekend. His time is the top time in the Big Sky Conference and ranks 20th in the West Region.

Viberg, a sophomore from Olofstrom, Sweden, had an incredible day in the women’s discus throw at the Double Dual in Tucson, Ariz. Viberg’s mark of 184-02 (56.13m) was top in the event, a new lifetime-best and qualifies her for the European Championships. Her throw ranks first in the Big Sky Conference and eighth in the West Region.
