Bryant O'Georgia, a senior at North Canyon High School (Phoenix, AZ), broke the Arizona state record as well as clearing the current US #1 height in the boys high jump with his clearance of 7'2.25" at the Arizona Division 1 State Championships in Mesa. Watch a video of his state record and nation's best clearance in the high jump below from the Sports360AZ's youtube channel.

O'Georgia, who won his second straight Arizona Division 1 state title with the performance, had never even cleared 6'10" before this past week with his last clearance at that height coming last June in a runner-up finish at the Great Southwest Classic. It was over a 4 inch improvement from his previous season best in the 2014 outdoor season of 6'8".
