I haven’t received my race schedule yet but I believe I am running at Mt. Carmel, twilight, state, and I plan on running at Nike regionals after state.

What are your goals for the upcoming track season?  What do you look forward to the most?

My goals for this season are to try my best and have fun. This season I’m looking forward to spending time with my team and racing with some fast runners.

How is your summer training going?  Your favorite workout? What kind of summer mileage do you run?

My summer training went well, I mostly tried to rest up and keep the mileage low to save up for the upcoming season. My favorite workout is hills and for summer mileage I like to keep the miles low and easy to keep from burning out during the season.

For cross training I mostly lift before practice #gainz

I mostly try to eat healthy but I usually end up eating unhealthy because I get hungyz.

Have you ever been injured?

hahahaha yeah I got a couple of injuries last season, one on my achilles, hip, and knee. Riding a skateboard during the season can cause a lot of injuries apparently…

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

My favorite cross country race/ memory was state my junior year (2013).  I raced to the best of my ability and honestly had nothing left at the end and ended up placing pretty well and getting a PR in the 5k.

What is the best part of running?

The best part of running is getting to the starting line and feeling confident in your own abilities, running your hardest during the race and finishing with nothing left knowing you gave it your all.

Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?

Getting to where I am today in the sport.

When you are not running what do you like to do?

I like to spend time with my friends #runnersquad4life

How have your coaches influenced you overall?

My middle school coach Sr. Floyd got me serious about the sport and got me running miles early and without him I wouldn’t be where I am today. My high school coach: Coach Forrest taught me to not let your mind psych you out before the race and to not to focus so much on how other people are doing that you forget about yourself and your own abilities.

Shout outs?
