Division II Boys

DII Sprints

This season Tyrees Moulton (North Canyon, Jr.) has run 10.82 for 100 (into a headwind), 21.36 for 200 (DII leader), 46.62 for 400 (AZ #2 All-Time). Meanwhile Draycen Hall (Higley) is AZ #1 for the 100-meter dash with a wind-legal run 10.76 at Chandler Rotary. Tyrees will also be challenged by Umajesty Williams (Chaparral) in the 200 and Robert Williams (South Mountain) in the 400.

DII Distance

Manny Olivo (Buena, Sr.) leads the State for 1600, with his 4:20.28 performance from Chandler Rotary. Campo Verde's Rylan Stubbs (So.) coming off a 4:22.09 from Desert Vista's Last Chance meet. Stubbs is ranked among the top three in the division for 800, 1600 and 3200 and could lead the Campo Verde squad to a State title in the 4x800. Then there's Cody Hartman, Daniel Marquez and Christian DeBoard who've all run under 4:30 for 1600

DII Throws

Turner Washington (Canyon Del Oro, Sr.) has been throwing past 210 for Discus non-stop since March and will be the overwhelming favorite in Division 2 for Disc. North Canyon's Austin Jackson (Sr.) is ranked 3rd in the State for Disc with a mark of 190-10. While Washington rules the Disc in AZ, Tyson Jones (Desert Edge, Jr.) leads the State in the Shot Put with a mark of 66-8 and will be looking to climb higher on the All-Time State Record board. He and his teammate Dante Blissit (Sr.) are ranked 7th and 4th in the State, respectively and will aim to collect some major points in both throws.

DII Jumps

Cameron Crandall (Canyon Del Oro, Sr.) has led the State in the High Jump since clearing 6-11 at the Marana Invitational in mid-April. He'll be aiming to clear 7 feet this Wednesday which would put him only 2.5 inches from Justice Summerset's (Marana Mtn. View) State Record set last year.

Relay to Watch

The DII Boys 4x400 will feature Canyon Del Oro (3:20.91) going up against Apollo High School (3:23.02). They'll have some tough competition from the Apollo Hawks 4x400 who took down DI giants, Chandler Wolves, early this season at Brophy AMDG. Their two 400 meter aces, James Kemp (Jr.) and Roderick Lockett (Sr.) are both ranked 4th and 5th in DII.

Teams to Watch

Same as the girls, the North Canyon boys look poised to rake in a ton of points across sprints, distance and throws. Other teams who looking to contend for the Division II Title include Canyon Del Oro, Campo Verde and Queen Creek.
