Bullis School's Shaniya Hall & Ashton Allen Sweep Of Freshmen 400 Titles At New Balance Nationals

The future of Bullis School's loaded program was on grand display for day one of the New Balance Nationals with both Shaniya Hall and Ashton Allen winning the freshmen 400 meter titles with times which rank among fastest in the state of Maryland.

Hall won the freshmen girls 400 race in a thrilling and close finish with Alysia Johnson (54.35) from Durham, North Carolina in a state leading and personal best time of 54.33. Hall knocked a full second off her previous personal best of 55.46. She is the first girl to break 55 seconds in the state for the 400 meter dash and lets not forget. Only a freshmen.

Meanwhile, Ashton Allen just missed out a state leading performance himself winning the freshmen boys 400 title in a personal best and MD #2 clocking of 47.62. His margin of victory was even more narrow than Hall's as Allen edged out Tahje Flemmings (47.63) from New York by a hundredth of a second.

Remarkable sweep of titles for the freshmen stars at Bullis School who are both ranked among the state's fastest with still three years more to go.
