Four athletes from Arizona will be competing today in the elite Brooks PR Invitational between Rio Rico's Allie Schadler in the girls mile run, Chandler's Morgan Foster in the 800, Tolleson Union's Trey Johnson, and North Canyon's Tyrees Moulton in the boys 400 meter dash.
Schadler is coming off a 5th place 4:43 personal best performance in the adidas Dream Mile two weekends ago and is looking to improve upon that performance against another national class field this weekend and approach a time close to 4:40. Schadler will be wrapping up a decorated high school career this weekend, which included a grand total of 11 state titles in Arizona.
Morgan Foster, only a sophomore, gets an opportunity to make a bigger name for herself nationally in a strong girls 800 field with a great depth of sub 2:10 girls. The Division 1 state champ this spring in the 1600 and 800, Foster has broken 2:10 in the 800 this spring and is looking to best her PR of 2:07.06 from last summer.
Tolleson Union's Trey Johnson has dominated the straightaways this spring in Arizona in both the 100 meter dash and 110 meter hurdles. He will take his 13.65 PR in the 110 hurdles and see what a field of hurdlers ranging from 13.33 and 13.99 will do to press him to lower that time at the Brooks PR Invitational.
Meanwhile, Moulton is use to being the top seed and dominating races in Arizona, yet finds himself with the slowest PR among a field of 8 guys in the boys 400 with his 46.51 PR. Only a junior, Moulton has a great opportunity to make a name for himself and knock off several of the guys ranked ahead of him and pulled to an even faster new PR to come back with for his senior year.
