Tia Jones Finds Another Gear In 100mH At NBNO


In just her second outdoor competition of the 2017 season, Tia Jones, the national record holder in the 100m hurdles, won the girls 100m hurdles at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in 13.03 seconds on Saturday, recording her second national title in three seasons. 

Jones also recorded a US No. 2 mark. 

Jones last won a NBNO title as an eighth grader in 2015, producing a time of 13.08 seconds. She recorded the national record as a freshman at USAT Jr. Nationals in 12.84 seconds. 

She last raced last month at the Georgia Meet of Champions, going 13.47 seconds in the 100mH.
