Imani Lee: Arizona Boys Jumper of the Year

Imani led the State in the Triple Jump and was a consistent podium finisher for both horizontal Jumps, Long and Triple, throughout the season. He opened his season by jumping 46 feet in the Triple Jump at the Richard Thompson Classic. Then he jumped a season best of 47-11.5 for Triple Jump to take the win in front of a home crowd at the Chandler Rotary Invitational. He also took 2nd in the Long Jump that night with a mark of 23-03. Imani concluded his season jumping a personal best of 23-11.5 to finish runner-up in the Long Jump at the DI State Meet and placed 3rd in the Triple Jump with a mark of 46-1.5.

    Honorable Mentions:

    • Trey Johnson (Tolleson Union, Sr.) jumped 24 feet-6 inches in the Long Jump at the Tolleson Union District Meet, making him a state-leader in three events. He won the D1 State Title for Boys Long Jump on Day 1 of the State Championships.
    • Max Barrett (Pinnacle, Sr.) had never jumped further than 44 feet for the Triple Jump until the Division 1 State Championships. At State, Max finished his High School career with a PR of 47-03.25 which earned him a State Title and an AZ #4 spot for TJ.
    • Joe Glomski (Sedona Red Rock, Sr.) jumped 47-04 in the Triple Jump at the Cardinal Invitational which puts him at #3 on the leaderboard for the event. At the State Championships, he won both the Division 4 Long & Triple Jump Titles.
    • Cameron Crandall (Canyon Del Oro, Sr.) was the top High Jumper in Arizona and the only one to clear 7 feet. At State, he won the D2 High Jump competition for the first time since his freshman year.
