             Records Are Meant To Be Broken At Chandler Rotary!

Arizona high school track and field is just a little over halfway through the regular season and today is kick off for the Grand Canyon State's top premier meet, the 78th Annual Chandler Rotary Invitational held at Chandler High School. AIA tournament coordinator and Meet Director Dave Shapiro has managed to assemble athletes from 10 other States including, Pennsylvania and Montana. "We've got roughly 3,809 athletes from 11 States including Arizona competing this weekend including some of the top athletes from the West coast," said Mr. Shapiro.

Chandler Rotary is really three meets with an invitational section today which includes relay events like the 4x200m Relay, a DMR and a 4x1600m Relay. The Saturday events will begin with seeded sections which also includes the Javelin Throws competition now a scoring event this year. As always everyone will anticipate the Saturday evening events which will showcase several Arizona athletes pursuing not just a victory but possibly a State Record too.
