Top Returning Division II Girl Sprinters

We're previewing the D2 Sprints with premium lists of the top 100 girls in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. After setting the sprints on fire as a freshman against the best in Arizona, North Canyon's Jadyn Mays (So.) will look to lead the State in the sprints. AIA restricts athletes to compete in four total events at the State Championships and it'll be interesting to see how deep Jadyn can extend her range into the sprints over her high school career. Last year she claimed individual D2 State Titles in the 100m, 200m, and the Long Jump. Mays also anchored the Lady Rattler 4x400m Relay to victory by almost 9 seconds. Autumn Boyd (South Mountain, So.) was another superfrosh out of Division II. At the Richard Thompson Classic Autumn won the 100 Meter Dash with a 12 flat performance. At the State Championships, she anchored the Jaguars in the 4x100m Relay to a State Title. Then there's Jae'Nisa Heckstall (Raymond S. Kellis, Sr.) and while she's the top hurdler in the State, she will also play her hand in the sprints. At the DII State Championships Jae'Nisa placed 2nd in the 100 Meter Final and post-season at the USATF Region 10 Championships, she ran 11.93 for to win the 100 Meter Dash. Finally, Samantha Deane (Verrado, Sr.) holds the no. 2 spot on the 400 Meter leaderboard but if Mays chooses not to compete, she'll be the favorite to win. Deane was the 2016 D2 State Champ in the event and last season she ran 56.95 at the Sun Angel Classic. Check out the full lists below.
