THUNDERBIRD Dave Doerrer INVITATIONAL

We would like to extend an invitation to your cross country team to participate in the 2013 Thunderbird Invitational Cross Country meet. This meet is sponsored by Thunderbird High School and is the oldest and longest running invitational in the state.

We have a special event:

Alumni and Friends Run Alumni, coaches, parents and friends run the 2.7 mile course at 8:00 am. Just sign the waiver and enjoy the RUN!

The Date: October 12, 2013

The Place: Mountain View Park. Take the Black Canyon Freeway (I-17) exit east on Peoria Ave. to 7th Ave. and the park.

The Course: 2.7 miles of grass and dirt with a few hills. A good course for runners and spectators!
There are four races: Freshman/Sophomore Girls, Freshman/Sophomore Boys,
Junior/Senior Girls and Junior/Senior Boys.

The Entry Fee: $200/school (boys and girls) $125 for a single team payable in advance to T-Bird High School

Coaches meeting at 8:45 am near the finish line. Light breakfast food will be available for coaches.

Girls Novice at 9:20 am for freshmen and sophomore girls

Boys Novice at 9:55am for freshmen and sophomore boys

Girls Open at 10:25 am for junior and senior girls

Boys Open at 11:00 am for junior and senior boys

EACH RACE IS LIMITED TO 12 ENTRIES PER SCHOOL.

Awards at approximately 11:40. A first place trophy will be awarded in each race. Medals will be given for 2nd through 35th place.

No team score is calculated.

Dressing facilities are available to out-of-town schools after the meet at T-Bird High School. Please bring your own towels and locks.

Parking of buses is not allowed in the park or along 7th ave.
Please park at Mountain View School
(7th Ave. and Peoria)

Tee Shirts by American Graphics will be available to purchase.

Runners Last name, First name, race (separated by commas, please not all caps) i.e.
