Welcome to the 2014 Chandler Rotary Invitational Track Meet
Coaches,

Please review the link to this years packet regarding the Chandler Rotary Track Invitational, hosted by Chandler High School and the Chandler Rotary Service Club.

"The Chandler Rotary Track meet is one of the top ten In-Season Invitations in the Country"

Richard Gonzalez, Arcadia Invitational Meet Director

Changes made for this years meet include:
* Meet is not scored
* NFHS Sanctioned Event--No unattached athletes
* Finals Only

The Rotary Track Meet will not be scored. Thus, for Arizona Schools this meet might not count against your meet limit,
This years meet will be a Finals Only and will be contested as a three session meet. Friday (Open) will remain the same as in the past. Saturday Morning (Seeded) will feature approximately fields of 32 to 40 athletes. Saturday Evening (Elite) will feature fields of 16 to 24 athletes. This move allows for more individuals into Saturdays meet.
The Athlete Pass gate will be located on Erie Street, the west side of the stadium and will be open longer. (See attached map)
No outside food: will be allowed into the stadium this year. We are not talking about the granola bar that an athlete might have, but the 15 boxes of pizzas that teams bring in. The Rotary Club which puts several thousands of dollars into the meet makes their money back from AD sales and concessions. You can still buy the items, but we are asking that they not be brought into the stadium.
Unified Team events will be contested Saturday afternoon.

Thursday evening packet pick up and social will be at "Coach and Willys in downtown Chandler. Hours will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm.

BIB Numbers will be issued for athletes and must be kept for both days of the meet. Athletes will have to have the BIBs on their uniforms to go through the athlete pass gate.
ENTRY LIMITS. Each team is guaranteed 2 athletes per event. Time standardsfound in the meet packet will allow for up to FOUR entriesONLY IF ALL ATHLETES EXCEED THE STANDARD.

Out of Town Teams: The weekend of March 21 & 22 is a high occupancy time of the year for hotels in Phoenix. There is spring training, PIRR event and a major softball tournament, in addition to the Chandler Rotary Track meet. Work early arranging hotel reservations.
