RAY WHERLEY CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL
PRESCOTT HIGH SCHOOL
Dear Athletic Director/Coach,
Your Cross Country team is cordially invited to attend the 32nd annual Ray Wherley Cross Country Invitational in Prescott. Featuring a unique race/scoring format in cool temperatures at a challenging elevation, the Ray Wherley XC Invitational is annually one of the premier XC invitationals in Arizona.
Date of meet: Saturday, September 12, 2009
Location: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Campus in Prescott.
Driving directions will be sent upon request.
Entry Fee: $125.00 per team. $250.00 for both a Boys and a Girls team
Time: Novice Race 9:30 (Freshmen & Sophomores only).
Junior/Senior Race (for those not in your top 7) right after the finish of the Novice Race
Varsity Races (4 flights) begin at 10:30
Coaches meeting: 8:45 in the hospitality ramada
VARSITY FORMAT: Scored according to the fastest cumulative team time. To be eligible for the team championship, a team must have seven runners.
NOVICE AND JR/SR: NO ENTRY FEE. Two races, one for the freshman and sophomore runners only and the other for the junior and senior runners. Must enter a team in the Varsity races to participate
The Varsity meet well be run in four separate flights. Flight one will have runners 7 and 6, flight two will have runners 5 and 4, flight three will have runners 3 and 2, and flight four will have each team
