When did you first get involved with track and field?  How long have you been running:

 I first got involved with track and field freshman year after I heard it was a blast! I have been running for six years including time I spent at elementary fun runs when I first decided I wanted to be a runner.

 

What is a typical training week like for you?

 A typical training week is track workouts Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. then long runs on Saturday Tuesday and Thursday.


 

What are your goals for the upcoming track season?

My goals are to continue improving on my times form last year

 

 

How do you prepare yourself mentally for a race?  Do you have any superstitions?

I get pumped up by my teammates and get my mind set to the track.


 

What does your season look like and will you be competing in any out of state track meets during the season or post high school season?

I'm not planning on going on any out of state meets so lots of invitationals and duel meets!


 

What message would you tell younger runners who aspire to be at the top?

I would want to tell young runners to keep working for what you want because if you keep working and keep setting goals you will achieve things you never thought possible.


 

If you had to attribute your success to one thing, what would it be?

If i had to attribute my success to one thing it would be the competitive attitude all around me, at home, at school, and at practice.


 

Do you have role models or mentors in track and field?

My dad has always been my role model and biggest fan in running.  He pushes me to work hard and encourages me to never quit


 

How many events do you compete in and which event is your favorite?

I compete in four events and the 800 is definitely my favorite!


 

What are 3 things we don't know about you?

 1. I Have only 9 1/2 toes.  I am missing half of my big toe on my right foot from a quad accident when I was two.
 2. I would much rather run a 5k than a 2 mile race
 3. My biggest competitor is my sister who is two years younger than me.
