What are your goals for the upcoming season:

My goals for this season are to continually improve up through Nike Cross (SW Regionals) and to place at State.

How is your  training going?   Your favorite workout?

This year our training has consisted of higher mileage and with that - higher intensity workouts, which has definitely benefitted me a lot. My favorite workout is a track workout consisting of an 800, 1200 and 1600 at desired race pace with a school loop in between, ending with a final 800 kick.

How long have you been running and how did you get started:

I have been running since my 6th grade year at Aprende but I didnt start running longer distance events until my sophomore year when my teammates heavily advocated for cross country.

What are your favorite and toughest courses to run in State and out of State?

My favorite course is the Rolling Hills Golf Course and definitely the toughest course would be our City Meet at Kiwanis.

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

My favorite cross country memories are from training at pre-season high altitude camp and spending time with my teammates.

What do you look forward to the most this season?

I look forward to seeing all the hard work of the season pay off for my teammates and I at State.

Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?

Every personal record and improvement makes me just as happy as the last when I see how far I've come.

When you are not running , what do you like to do?

When I have time, I love to paint and draw.

Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?

Our team does core exercises and some light lifting three times a week during the season but other than that I focus on mostly high mileage during the off season.

How have your coaches influenced you overall?

My coaches are without a doubt to credit with my improvement this year. It is because of them that I knew how hard to train over the summer and have worked so hard this season. It has helped me tremendously to have a head girls coach this season.
