When did you get started as a running:

I have done track and cross country since 7th grade, but began to take running seriously my sophomore year.

Which meets will you be running this year?

Chandler Invite, King of the Mountain, Doug Conley, Nike SW Regionals and  Foot Locker

What are your goals for the upcoming track season?  What do you look forward to the most?

I have personal goals regarding time and placement but my main goal is to enjoy my final cross country season with my team! I am looking forward to racing, but mainly to pasta parties and spoon trains.

How is your summer training going?  Your favorite workout? What kind of summer mileage do you run?

I had a great, high mileage summer topped off by a week in Prescott with my team for our cross country camp. I ran an average of 50 miles a week.

Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?

No

Do you follow any kind of nutrition program or watch what you eat?

I watch what I eat and stay away from foods high in sugar and "junk" food, no particular diet plan.

Have you ever been injured?

No, but I had an appendectomy my sophomore year towards the end of the cross country season that did affect my running.

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

My favorite memory was either running at the Foot Locker West regional with a few of the boys on my team or when my girls and I took first at Conley and got a pretty cool trophy.

What is the best part of running?

The best part of running is when it's over.

Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?

I will always consider winning state in the 4x800 as one of my greatest accomphlishments, although I can only take credit for 1/4th of that title. Nonetheless, sharing a state championship with your best friends is pretty outstanding in my book :)

When you are not running what do you like to do?

When I'm not running, I like to watch Grey's Anatomy or hang out with Lauren Ellsworth and watch Grey's Anatomy.

How have your coaches influenced you overall?

I owe my running career to my coaches, not only for the excellent training, but for the encouragement they have given me and the trust that they have in me and my abilities that has kept me at this for so long. Shout out to Coach Monty and Coach Resendez for being the most influencial people to have walked into my life and for being so tolerant of my twerking at even the most inapropriate of times.

Shout outs?

Shout out to BloLo, BB, RiRi, and Barbie (better known as Lauren Ellsworth, Sydney Rhodes, Rachel McCleve, and Addi Montgomery) for being the realest squad around, the other Ellsworth sister (Alena) for helping us win state and stuff, my beautiful sister Hailey Girard, my wonderful teammates, and Jonny Craig for being the most beautiful man alive with the loveliest voice any human being has ever been blessed with. And to anyone who's still reading this. You're the real MVP.
