Why did you choose to stay local? What other colleges were recruiting you?

I was being recruited by Stanford and Penn but I chose to stay local because I decided that remaining close to home was the best decision for me considering the type of person I am. I am a person who is very close to my family and being far from them would be very difficult for me. I also decided to stay local because I feel that the U of A women's sprint coach, Francesca Green, really believes in me and I know that as a coach she will help me do great in the future.

Who is your track and field hero/role model?

My track and field role model is Allyson Felix. I admire her humbleness and dedication. She's also build small like me. Most of the athletes I compete against are buildt bigger than me, so seeing Felix do so well with her small frame helps me with my confidence in my races against girls bigger than me.

What has been your favorite high school track and field memory?

My favorite high school track and field memory is from last years great southwest meet. At this meet I was able to meet many track athletes from all around Arizona and some soon became very close friends of mine that I am so happy to have met.

Who are you going to miss seeing the most next year?

I'm going to miss seeing my mother the most next year. My mom is my best friend and not seeing her everyday is going to be very difficult for me.

What are you looking forward to most about college?

What I am looking forward to most next year is being a Pac-12 track and field athlete! I know it will be a great experience and I cannot wait! I am also looking forward to getting stronger and improving in all my events.
