Nur took back the lead through the third mile and held it through the end in 15:49, in front of Mason, Landa, Habs Cheney (Desert Vista, Jr.) and Aron Orar (Phoenix Central, Jr.), all under 16 minutes. Over the last two miles, the Desert Vista guys had pressed through the ranks to place their scoring five in the top 20 and pick up their third straight Division 1 title and their 8th in school history. (Photo by John Hays)

When athletes bring out the best in themselves against their competition, win or lose they can leave confident about their own abilities. Many will still train through November and contend for a qualifying spot at Nike Cross Nationals or Foot Locker Nationals. Best of luck to Arizona during the post-season. We'll see you in the Spring.
