Division II Girls

DIl Sprints

North Canyon's Jadyn Mays who is only a freshman has made an impressive showing this season in AZ. She is currently ranked #1 for the 100m, 200m, and 400m in the sprints, and lets not count her out of the jumps and relays. Mays who has ran a 11.94 (100m) needs to watch out for Jae'nisa Heckstall (Raymond S. Kellis) in the 100 who ran a 11.95 this season.

DIl Hurdles

In the 300m hurdles Brielle Sterns from Sahuaro is ranked first in with a time of 44.61. Jae'nisa Heckstall (Raymond S. Kellis) is ranked 2nd with a time on 44.88 and could easily claim the victory as well. Jadyn Mays is ranked 3rd, however she will most likely stick to the sprints and relays.

DIl Distance

Abi Archer from Chaparral had a late start this season, but nothing seems to hold her back already running a 5:09 (1600m) last week. Archer's teammate Rachel Turner is ranked right ahead of her in the 3200m (11:16.17).

DIl Throws

In the throws look for Kelby Kuo (Cactus Shadows) to dominate the discus and shot put. Kuo is ranked 1st for the discus with a throw of 137-3.5. In the shot Kao's own teammate Alexa Dragone (39-5) is ranked slightly ahead.

DIl Jumps

Gila Ridge's Mia Corners who is only a freshman jumped 19 feet at the Desert Vista Last Chance Invite. If May's does not jump Mia could easily snatch the 1st place medal. Mia is also ranked in the top in 10 for the sprinting events.

Pole Vault

In the pole vault Alyson Schwartz (Deer Valley) impressively cleared 12-1 at the Westside Invite, however she will have competition from Chaparral's Alexandria Gray. At Arcadia Gray cleared 11-10.

Relay to Watch

In the 4x100m South Mountain (47.89) is ranked slightly ahead of North Canyon (48.11). In the 4x400m and 4x800m relays we will see if anyone can catch the  North Canyon girls. They ran an impressive 9:20 at Arcadia this season.

Teams

The North Canyon girls look to be the favorite on paper but do not rule out teams such as Chaparral, and Gila Ridge who have deep competition as well.
