Saturday Seeded Session - Javelin
The Javelin has been an exhibition event in Arizona for just a few years, but with the AIA now including it as a scoring event at the State Meet athletes are eager to test their mettle against other specialists in the Southwest. In the Boys Javelin competition, Carlan Naisant (Marcos De Niza, Sr.) will be the overwhelming favorite with a throw of 206-4. He's already thrown 202-10 this season and is currently ranked US #3 in the Javelin. The Girls favorite in the Javelin will likely be Haley Rizek (St. Pius X, Sr.) who threw 125' at the Great Southwest Classic last May.
