Boys 3200m - Crockett Blasts A Sub-60 Bell Lap To Clinch The Win
Ryan Dempsey (Hamilton, Jr.) led the race early on. After the first couple of laps Zachary Frisch (Mesa Mountain View, Sr.) took control of the race and opened a gap on the field.
Over the last two laps, Jonathan Estrada (Desert Vista, Fr.) closed the gap on Frisch but it wasn't long before Ryan Crockett (Highland, Sr.) and Dempsey started their own kicks to overtake Estrada and Frisch. Ultimately, Crockett's kick was just too much for Dempsey and the Highland Senior delivered the fifth medal of the evening in the distance events for the Highland Hawks.
Dempsey took the silver just five seconds later. Jonathan Estrada took 3rd also under 9:50 and Frisch placed 4th in 9:50.19 followed by Matt Judd (Mesa Mountain View, Jr.) and Noah Harry (Vista Grande, Sr.), both under 10-minutes.
