Leo Daschbach won this past week's National Performer award following his back-to-back weeks of outstanding performances at the Arizona State Track and Field Championships and the Meet of Champions.

Daschbach, Arizona's No. 1 distance runner at 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meters, scored a triple in all three races at state, then came back to win the 800m at the Meet of Champions in 1:51.99.

He earned over 64-percent of the vote to score the recognition.

A big congrats goes out to the Highland High School junior on the honor.
