Race Pace Repeats In Prescott National Forest

Last year, the Prescott boys' and girls' teams finished runner-up to Page and Salpointe Catholic respectively. This season, they hope to sweep both titles. This year, the boys and girls have both returned strong leadership between Alec Almendarez and Lisandro McCarter leading the boys teams and Makenna Bray and Emily McMahon spearheading the girls' squad. Almendarez and McCarter finished 8th and 9th in the D3 Boys' race at the state meet last year. Meanwhile Bray and McMahon finished 7th and 8th at Cave Creek last year, and also made some huge progress in the distance races this spring.

We ventured up north for a quick workout with the Badgers deep in Prescott National Forest. There's a loop well-known to the Badgers called the Lynx Lake Loop that they like to regularly tackle in the season.
