Rampage Set For The Desert Under The Stars

Boys Teams

The El Paso Eastwood boys will look to follow up from a fantastic showing at Woodbridge this past victory with a victory in Casa Grande on Friday night. Based on numbers alone, it looks like it could be an extremely tight race and a foretelling of what we could see out of the Lone Star State during the championship season.

The Woodlands High School of the Conroe Independent School District have returned their entire complete team of 6A state champions from last year. This season they aim to consistently keep their spread under a minute in order to practice concentrating their pack for the NXN South Regional, when they need it most.

This season, Fort Collins have taken victories at the Liberty Bell and John Martin Invitationals and are loaded with seniors all committed to seizing a spot for Nike Cross Nationals. Kevin Conlon and James Gregory are two super-lowsticks for the Lambkins and they have at least two other guys capable of breaking 16-minutes in the desert.

We're all interested to see how the top-ranked team in Arizona fares against the visitors. Recently the Highland Hawks earned a team title without their top guy, at the Doug Conley Invitational. They have had some new guys step into varsity roles and are prepared to take on anyone at the biggest meets in the State.
