Who Will Be Throwing Big in 2021?
With only a couple meets this year, we need to start looking at the 2019 season to see who may be the young men to beat in 2021. We are going to focus our attention today on the boys' shot and discus throwers. We looked back at the best frosh and soph boys' throws of 2019 and put together a list of the top-88 boys in Arizona who will be back as upper-classmen in 2021 in both of these events. Below are throwers #69-#88. For the top 68, go to the link beneath our chart.
Note: In the below charts and links, the first data point is what gets you on the list. If you didn't have a shot or discus mark in 2019 then you won't be on these lists. If you didn't have a top-100 shot or discus mark in 2019, then you will not be on these lists either.

We did notice a little different ranking when we put the discus throw as our first data point and then shot put as our second data point. The overall distance went up, with the shortest combined mark on this list as 128-6.5 feet. There were 87 boys who made this list and below are #68-#87. The top 67 can be found clicking the link below the chart.
