Trail Leg Bracket
#1 Seed Allie Schadler vs. #4 Seed Jaide Stepter
Allie Schadler
Allie was a beast of a distance runner in high school, running for Rio Rico until graduating in 2017. Her high school bests were 57.83 (400), 2:08.22 (800), 4:45.15 (1600), 4:43 (mile), and 10:05.70 (3200).
In the 2017 Division 3 AIA State Meet, Allie won the 400 and 1600 and also was a big part of both winning 4x400 and 4x800 teams for Rio Rico as well. In that same year had some great times in the mile in some big meets. She took 2nd in the Chandler Rotary mile (4:46.98), 5th in the Adidas Boost Boston Games mile (4:43), and 2nd in the Brooks PR Invitational Mile (4:44.03).
Also in 2017, Allie won the Brooks Mt. SAC Relays 800M (2:08.56) and place 3rd at Arcadia Invitational in the 3200M (10:05.70). Earlier in 2017, she also took 4th in the 3200M at the New Balance Nationals Indoor meet with a time of 10:13.74.
Her junior year Allie won the 800M at the Standord Invitational, won both the Arcadia and Chandler Rotary mile, not to mention winning the 1600, 3200, and 4x800 at the AIA Division 3 State Meet.

Jaide Stepter
Jaide ran for Canyon Del Oro where she graduated from in 2012. Jaide was known mostly as a hurdler and jumper, but she still has some pretty strong times in the 200M (24.54) and 400M (58.27). Jaide is #8 all-time in Arizona in the long jump with a 19-3 mark and #3 all-time in AZ in the 300H with a blistering clocking of 42.01.
Jaide's senior year she never lost the 300H. She won at Willie Williams, Chandler Rotary, Arcadia Invitational, and finally at AIA Division 2 State Meet where she ran her PR of 42.01. In that same state meet, Jaide also set her PR in the long jump (19-3) for 1st place, won the 100H, and placed 2nd in the 200M.
Jaide's junior year she won all three individual events she competed in at the AIA Division 2 State Championships. She ran the 300H in 43.40, 100H in 14.62, and ran 25.15 in the 200M. Also that year, Jaide won at Willie Williams and Chandler Rotary in the 300H, as well as placing 5th at Arcadia and 4th in the Great Southwest Classic.

#2 Seed Jai Gruenwald vs. #3 Seed Dominique Mustin
Jai GruenwaldJai Gruenwald, a graduate from Chandler in 2018, was a three-tool player as they would say in baseball. She was a top hurdler (top-10 AZ all-time in 300H and top-15 all-time in 100H), a great horizontal jumper (#1 AZ all-time in the long jump - 20-6.75 and #10 in the triple jump in 39-2), and dipped under the 12-second barrier in the 100M (#18 AZ all-time in 11.94).
In her senior year, she individually won the 100H, 300H, long jump, and triple jump in the Division 1 AIA State Championships. That same year she won the long jump and took 6th in the 300H at Arcadia, was 5th in the New Balance Nationals Outdoor meet, won the Meet of Champions in the 300H, as well as taking 2nd in the 300H at Rotary.
In her senior indoor season she took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively in the 60M dash, long jump, and triple jump at the Great Southwest Classic Indoor Invitational.
Jai's junior year was pretty impressive as well by once again winning the 100H, 300H, and long jump; but amazingly took 3rd in the triple jump that year even with her PR of 39-2.
Jai got at least one first place medal in every single state meet in her four years at Chandler High.
Dominique Mustin
On the other side of this bracket is another impressive young woman, who graduated this year from North Canyon. Dominique is #3 AZ all-time in the 400 (54.46) in the top-20 in the 100H, #4 in the 300H, and #1 in the 800M (2:06.01) - not to mention part of the all-time leading 4x400 team in Arizona. Who knows what she would have accomplished this year with a full season but nevertheless what a high school career she has put forth.
Dominique did compete in the Great Southwest Classic Indoor Invitational this past winter in the 400M, where she ran the #35 time in the nation with a 56.39.
In her junior year, Dominique was nearly unstoppable. Not only did she win the 100H, 400M, and 800M individually at the Division 2 AIA State Championships, but set a state record in the 800M at Arcadia where she took 1st, won in the same event at Rotary, and took 7th overall (2:07.62) at the Brooks PR Invitational with an impressive field.
Also, Dominique was part of the fantastic senior crew at North Canyon who were poised win their 4th consecutive Division 2 state championship this year, if it weren't for the global pandemic.
