WATCH: Harrison Becomes Florida's Fastest Sophomore Miler

Race footage of Harrison's 4:09.79 Mile Run

Rheinhardt Harrison is no stranger to the mile spotlight.

After his epic fall to finish second with a 4:12 in the 1600m at last year's Florida Relays, Harrison proved he was the fastest freshman for the distance Florida has ever seen in history.

This past weekend, he took the sophomore crown too.

Harrison raced the pro mens mile race at the Desert Dream-Last Hurrah Track and Field Invitational San Tan Valley, Arizona. The sophomore star stayed towards the back of the first pack of four athletes, going through the half at around 2:03 and finishing up with a new PR and historic mark of 4:09.79 for the full mile distance.
