Arizona Boys Performer of the Week (Apr. 20-26)

After another week of track & field action in Arizona, it's time to vote for the MileSplit Arizona boys performer of the week.

Note: Athletes who have been nominated in the past two weeks are not eligible. Previous winners are excluded for the rest of the season.

This Week's Nominees:

Colin Duffy, Corona del Sol High School (Arizona): Won the discus at the Tempe All-City Championships with a throw of 185-0, making him the top junior in Arizona in the event. Also placed third in the shot put with a mark of 49-9.5.

Kelson Hogan, Corona del Sol High School (Arizona): Threw 211-2 to win the javelin at the Tempe All-City Championships, establishing himself as the #1 junior in the state.

Dameon Brender, Red Mountain High School (Arizona): Swept the sprints at the Mesa City Championships, clocking 10.59 in the 100 and 21.40 in the 200 to beat state-ranked senior Amare Holley in both events. The #1 junior in Arizona in the 200, he also won the 400 in 49.80.

Isaac Rhonehouse, Ironwood Ridge High School (Arizona): Jumped 23-8.5 to win the long jump at the Southern Arizona Championships while also finishing second in the 100 with a time of 10.92.

Amare Holley, Red Mountain High School (Arizona): Posted strong marks across three events at the Mesa City Championships, running 10.61 and 21.47 for second place finishes in the 100 and 200 before winning the long jump with a leap of 23-3.
