Here are the top performances by high school track and field athletes in Arizona from the week of April 20.
Below, check out the athletes who broke through this past week and will look to carry that momentum into a great 2026 season.
Eli Allen (Prescott) threw 55-4 in the shot put at the Yavapai County Championships on April 23, improving from his previous best of 48-4. The mark ranks #6 in Arizona and #2 among juniors, and set a school record for Prescott High School. Allen won the event among 23 competitors.
Kristianna Montoya (Empire) ran 2:29.30 in the 800 meters at the Southern Arizona Championships on April 24, dropping from her previous PR of 2:39.78 set in April 2026. The freshman's time ranks #121 in the state and #18 among freshmen, and she placed 7th of 38 runners.
Victoria Williams (Cienega) threw 147-7 in the discus at the Southern Arizona Championships on April 24, improving from 130-11. The senior's throw ranks #2 in Arizona and, among seniors, set a school record for Cienega High School, and won the event among 46 competitors.
Keegan Oxley (Chandler) ran 16.19 in the 110-meter hurdles at the Chandler City Meet on April 22, improving from 17.40 set in April 2026. The freshman's time ranks #80 in the state and #4 among freshmen, and he placed 7th of 17 hurdlers. Oxley also set a PR in the 300-meter hurdles, running 44.16 to improve from 44.59.
Calan Ferrell (Winslow) threw 46-4 in the shot put at the 93rd Annual Winslow Invitational on April 24, improving from 41-2. The senior's mark ranks #61 in Arizona and #26 among seniors, and he placed 3rd among 56 throwers.
Camrie Lewis (Sandra Day O'Connor) ran 12:33.62 in the 3200 meters at the DVUSD Meet on April 21, improving from 13:06.19 set in April 2025. The sophomore's time ranks #120 in the state and #29 among sophomores, and she placed 9th of 13 runners. Lewis also set a PR in the 1600 meters, running 5:44.31 to improve from 5:46.33.
Elaina Montero (Glendale) ran 25.68 in the 200 meters at the Glendale Union District Frosh/Soph meet on April 22, improving from 26.54 set in April 2026. The mark ranks #42 in Arizona, set a school record for Glendale High School, and won the event among 30 competitors. Montero also set PRs in the 100-meter hurdles (15.79, improving from 16.45) and triple jump (35-2.25, improving from 34-2).
