The fastest middle school girls in Arizona come from the Colts Classic Invitational, where the Tsehootsooi girls dominated the competition. Samiya Curley ran a personal record of 5:33 to set the state lead, ahead of her teammate, Uriah Kee, who's only a 6th grader. The Tesehootsooi girls lead the nine girls who've broken 5:50 this season, including four who've run 5:40.

Overview
After a few months into the season, three middle school boys who've broken 5 minutes have emerged as the top performers in the state so far. Kyler Kee leads the state at 4:48, thanks to his dominant victory at the Colts Classic Invitation. Devin LeVander (4:52) and Max Wagner (4:55) secured impressive victories this season, achieving personal records under 5 minutes for the first time. Theodore Haller has been particularly impressive this season, maintaining an undefeated streak in the 800m and 1600m. As the season progresses, times are sure to drop as it becomes more competitive.
