What are your goals for the upcoming season:
To have a great season and have fun with my teammates.
How is your summer training going? Your favorite workout? What kind of summer mileage do you run?
My summer training was okay, I just put in more mileage and any workouts my coach gave me during the summer. My weekly mileage average was 55-60 miles.
How long have you been running and how did you get started:
I have been running for about three years now and started when Billy Orman inspired me to go out and try cross country.
Will you be competing out of State this season? If so, when and where?
Yes, deciding on running Footlocker in California around December.
What are your favorite courses and the toughest courses to run in State and out of State.
Toughest would be Holbrook because we run mostly in circles. My favorite courses are Twilight, Peaks, Bud Davis, and 4 Corners.
So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?
Favorite cross country memory is a trail we made as a team called Alcatraz Trail…….if you don’t make it through this trail, you are there for life!
When you are not running what do you like to do?
Well I consider many other activities like attending to our livestock and playing volleyball with my friends.
Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?
I mostly do a lot of bike riding and hiking down the canyons of Navajo Mountain.
Do you think you would like to run competitively after high school?
Yes, most likely because running teaches you discipline and makes you a good person. I would like to run for a college so I can continue my education.
What were your favorite Olympic sports and did they inspire you in any way?
My favorite sports are volleyball and track & field. They inspire me to make my goals and make them a target for the future, like what Destiny Hooker accomplished in the Olympics.

Spaghetti dinner the day before a meet with team and day of race, nothing but grain.

Legendary runners who sacrificed to maintain training for a number of years to meet their goals and be best of the best.

Funny movie series with Tyler Perry, the Madea series
