My goal for the season is to run to my full potential and win state as a team.

How is your summer training going?   Your favorite workout?  What kind of summer mileage do you run?

Training has been pretty solid so far. We start practice in June, and we have been steadily increasing our mileage each week. My favorite workout is either a speed day or a long run.

How long have you been running and how did you get started:

I have been running competitively since 6th grade. My mom told me to go out for cross country, and I started loving it more and more each year.

Will you be competing out of State this season?  If so, when and where?

Yes; I will be competing in Mt Sac and possibly Foot Locker.

What are your favorite courses and the toughest courses to run in State and out of State.

My favorite courses are Twilight and Mt Sac. I love the atmosphere of Twilight and the difficulty of Mt Sac. The toughest course to run in state would probably be Doug Conley because of the various hills throughout. The toughest course out of state would definitely be Mt Sac.

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

My favorite cross country race would have to be state my sophomore year. I gave it all I got and came out third in the state, which was an amazing feeling. My favorite cross country memory is traveling to Mt Sac with my team.

When you are not running what do you like to do?

When I’m not running, I’m either spending time with my friends and family, playing softball or basketball, or resting.

Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?

I weight train every day and swim or aqua jog about once a week.

Do you think you would like to run competitively after high school?

I would definitely like to run competitively after high school.

What were your favorite Olympic sports and did they inspire you in any way?

I like to watch just about every sport during the Olympics, but my favorites are track and field and swimming. Seeing Missy Franklin win gold was so inspirational to me.
