How is your summer training going?   Your favorite workout?  What kind of summer mileage do you run?

My summer training went really well! I was able to attend two running camps. I went to BYU for a week and then to the McMillan Elite Training Camp in Flagstaff with my team. My favorite workouts are hill workouts and long trail runs, because we don't get to do them very often. My coach really inspired me to get a few high mileage weeks in over the summer.

How long have you been running and how did you get started:

This is my fourth year of serious running. I started because I went to one swimming practice, decided that wasn't for me, and listened to my older brother when he said I should join x-c with him instead.

Will you be competing out of State this season?  If so, when and where?

Yes, my team will be racing at Huntington Beach on October 6th

What are your favorite courses and the toughest courses to run in State and out of State.

My favorite course is Twilight because it is run at night and is such a fast course. The adrenaline and excitement always motivates me to run fast! The toughest course I've ever run is definitely Mt. Sac (Footlocker West) because of the steep hills.

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

My favorite memories include running with my dad at extreme hours of the day (4:30am or 10:30pm), hanging out with friends and family, and doing well in races.

When you are not running what do you like to do?

Spend time with my family, make jewelry, read, eat, and sleep!

Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?

Sometimes I find time to do core workouts, but I don't cross-train much. Fortunately, I've never been seriously injured.

Do you think you would like to run competitively after high school?

Definitely. Running in college on a scholarship is my main goal

What were your favorite Olympic sports and did they inspire you in any way?

My favorites were distance track and gymnastics. Olympic athletes are amazing!
