Desert Twilight XC Festival / Nike Pre-Southwest Invite

Featuring the 8th Annual HS Twilight Festival, 3rd annual Jr. High Race, and the 6th Annual Desert Twilight Community 5k
A mid season competition with races for everyone in the cool night air of Casa Grande, AZ. Bring your running shoes for the 6th Annual community open run or cheer on the HS cross country harriers in 19 different races, including the premiere Sole Sports Sweepstake races , The Team Championship races an amazing look at the future of our sport with our Jr. High section. Come and race against the BEST the state of Arizona has, as well as teams from all over the US. This is the Nike Pre-Southwest Regional meet as well, so it is an opportunity to race on the same course as the Nike Southwest Regional Championships and score some AT LARGE points! The looped course is lined with lights, creating a unique racing opportunity that allows coaches and spectators to view at numerous points.

Entries: Online Entries will be done through athletic.net . Entry DEADLINE is Monday Sept. 29th at midnight.
Large School Division : 1800 or more students
Small School Division: Less than 1800 students
Championship Race : If you think your team is good but not one of the top teams that will be placed into the Sweepstakes race then you can enter your squad in this race, no matter what your school size. This race will include both large and small schools going head to head. It is considered very competitive just a step below the Sweepstakes race. (20 teams will be allowed into this race)
Sweepstake Races: Top 25 teams as determined by the Race committee. This will include teams that have STAND OUT individuals as well. Meet director will let coaches know personally if they are allowed to enter into this section. Most competitive race of the night
Entry Fee: Twilight Festival / Nike Pre-Southwest Invite $275/team or $325 combined HS Program Payment deadline is FRIDAY SEPT 19th. A $50 late fee will be assessed to teams who do not meet the deadline. ALL checks need to be made out to and sent to the address below.

*The Open Races that were split will be merged together to determine places.
Awards: Student athletes will be able to pick up their awards following their races at the Awards tent. Results should be available within 15 minutes following the race. There will be a final award celebration following the Sweepstakes races in which the top individuals from the Sweepstakes Races will receive their awards as well as the team awards for the Varsity, Championship and Sweepstakes Races. (This is when the give-a-ways happen as well).
Individual Medals to top 20 in ALL HS races and Jr. High Races
Team- Trophies to the 1st and 2nd place teams in the Jr. High Races, the Varsity Divisions, as well as the Championship and Sweepstakes races . Nike will also provide gifts for the winning teams in the Championship and Sweepstakes races. (Gifts are yet to be determined)

Course: Looping grass course on Fransisco Grande Golf Course. Nearly all grass course with a few paved cart path crossings. All Races will be certified 5K
Medical: Trainers available at the course at 4:00pm
Prizes: Numerous prizes, raffles, and giveaways!! Lots and Lots like last year!
T-shirts: Really cool glow-in-the-dark Desert Twilight / Nike Pre-Southwest t-shirts brought to you by AMERICAN GRAPHIC DESIGNS!
Concessions/ Vendors: A number of different vendors will be on site so plan on eating on site!
Water: Teams are responsible to bring their own water and cups!! There will also be bottled water for sale.
