AIA Sectional
Cross Country Championships
Friday, October 31, 2014
Location:

Cross Roads Park. Cross Roads park is located at Greenfield Road and Knox Road between Ray and Warner
Road.

From the Tucson area: Take I-10 to Loop 202 East bound. Exit at San Tan Village Road and turn left
(heading north-west. Travel approximately 2.5 miles. Park entrance will be on your left, at the light for Knox
Road.

Time Schedule:

9:00 am Course open for warm up
10:30 am Division Coaches Meeting
11:00 am Division I Section 3 Girls
11:30 am Division I Section 3 Boys
12:00 pm Division I Section 1 Girls
12:30 pm Division I Section 1 Boys
12:00 pm Division IV Coaches Meeting
1:30 pm Division IV Girls
2:05 pm Division IV Boys
2:35 pm Division III Girls
3:10 pm Division III Boys

Awards for the Division One Section 3 will begin at 12:30 PM
Awards for the Division One Section I will begin at 1:15 PM
Awards for the Division Four will begin at 2:45 PM
Awards for the Division Three will begin at 3:45 PM

Medals will be awarded to the top fourteen (14) in each sectional.
The top team will receive Sectional Championship Plaque.

Course:

The course is grass, granite, dirt, some asphalt and sidewalk. Copy of map is attached.

Section Entry Procedure:

Each team must designate up to seven runners. Entries are to be submitted online at www.athletic.net .

Entry deadline is Monday, October 27, by 5:00 PM. Changes to your entries will be allowed at check in. I
would recommend that you add this meet to your calendar sooner than later.

IF you do NOT have an Athletic.net account you need to allow several days for your account to be set.

State Qualification:

Only the top 50% of full teams entered and the individuals in the top twenty-five (25) will advance to state.
If there is an odd number of scoring teams, then one additional team (even number) will advance. You will
be notified of these numbers at the coaches meeting.

State Entries:

All Entries for the State Cross Country Championships are to be made on line at www.athletic.net. Deadline
for entries is Monday, November 3, 2014 by 5:00 PM. For time schedule and more information on the state
meet visit www.aiaonline.org and scroll through the athletic tab button and tournament guides, under
coaches tab.

In the rare instance that a games committee is needed for a decision, the following will be represented:
