In a state with one of the nation's best pole vault coaches it is natural to expect that the pole vault competition to worth watching. Saturday will not be an exception.
Field events are sometimes overlooked in track and field though they shouldn't be. If you are new to watching field events in track and field, the Chandler rotary is an excellent place to start!
Paul Lucas was selected as athlete of the week for his victorious performances in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m at the Chandler Rotary.
If for whatever reason you can't make the girls 1600m or just don't like distance races, the girls 400m is a close second best race to watch.

The Chandler Rotary is one of those rare track meets where the stand are filled and spectators more or less have standing room only. The energy at Austin Field is always electric and it helps the athletes produce some of their best performances.
The Chandler Rotary has been around for longer than most of us reading this have been alive. During that span of time it has made a name for itself nationally as the meet to be at in March.
