Tell us how your training is going?

My summer training went extremely well. I ran with both the girls and boys Cross Country teams from my school. We went on both long and short runs for variation. We also went up to Flagstaff and ran with Flagstaff High School. It was fun getting to know them and running on long quiet trails.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

My goals for this season are to get top 5 in state and get my 3 mile time in the low 18's.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I have been running since my sophomore year. I began running in track, I did this in order to stay in shape for the coming up soccer season. I was encouraged by one of my teammates to do both Track and Cross Country because she believed I had potential.

Will you be competing out of state this season?

I competed out of state this season in the Mount Carmel Invitational and obtained second place in the Junior race.

Favorite course to run in Arizona?

My favorite course to run in, in my state, is the Padre course because we usually practice there and I am familiar with the course.

Toughest course in Arizona?

I heard the the toughest course, in my state, is the Dough Conley course but I have not ran it yet. For me the toughest course so far, in my state, has been the one at the Padre Invitational.

My favorite Cross Country race has been the one from the Mount Carmel Invite because it was a challenge and I helped represent both our school and state.

My favorite memory is from when I went to Flagstaff because my team and I bonded. We had a great time learning about each other and our experiences.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

When I don't run I usually do school work, but when I am free, I like to go dancing with my boyfriend and other times with my friends.
