Seven seasons down, one to go, what has been a favorite highlight in your high school career?
Its crazy to think that this is my last high school season, there have been so many memorable times but I'd have to say winning the 4x800 last season was definitely the biggest (and most surprising) highlight of my high school career! I honestly never thought I'd be called a 'state champion' and I couldn't be more thankful for that title! It really just goes to show you that hard work and dedication really does pay off!
What are you looking forward to most staying close to home?
I think just being around family and friends a little while longer is the biggest thing. I have tons of younger friends on the team, as well as my two little brothers, and I would like to be around to cheer them on at their races! It also gives me some time to save money and prepare myself for life after MCC.
You made some huge strides forward in 2014 in terms of dropping your PRs, what are some things you'd like to accomplish yet this track season?
Well, I'd really like to break all my previous PRs, qualify for state and Arcadia! But at the end of the day I really just want to go out with a bang this year and enjoy myself as much as possible.
What events do you want to specialize in during college?
Definitely the 3,000m, as well as, the 5,000m and the 1,500m!
