Jae'Nisa Heckstall: Arizona Girls Hurdler Of The Year

Jae'Nisa Heckstall a junior from Raymond S. Kellis High School is the AZ Girls Hurdler of the Year. She had an undefeated season for both hurdle events. Jae'Nisa opened her season at the Peoria Invite winning the 100m hurdles and the 300m hurdles. Heckstall took first in the 100m and 300m hurdles for Division ll at the AZ State Meet. She also holds the fastest time in the 100 hurdles in Arizona this season with a time of 14.10, which she ran at the Sun Angel Classic. She also won the 100m open with an impressive time of 11.95 at Arizona State University. Look for Jae'Nisa in 2018 to have an impressive senior year.

Brielle Sterns (Sahuaro)- Senior Brielle Sterns was AZ #2 for 100H and finished 2nd in D2 for the 100 Hurdles and 3rd in Low Hurdles at State Meet.

LaMeyah Charlton (Chandler)- Charlton was ranked AZ #1 for 300H (43.22) and was part of the 4x800m nationally ranked team.

Jai Gruenwald (Chandler)- Only a junior Gruenwald was AZ #2 for 300H & #3 for 100H. Jai placed 1st in D1 for the 100H (15.03) & 300H (44.17) at State Meet. She also won the Long Jump in D1.

Ma'Kayla Dickerson (Fairfax)- Sophomore Ma'Kayla Dickerson was AZ #4 for 300H (43.84) and she was 2nd in D2 for the 300H and 4th for the 100H. She was one of only four girls who dipped under 44 seconds this spring in the 300m hurdles.
