Hamilton Boys 4x800: Dan Danell, Chris Fusaro, Noah Creighton, David Nelsen

At the Division I State Championships, Hamilton 4x800 took 1st with a time of 7:57.31, the fastest of the whole tournament. Dan Danell opened as 1st leg, committed to catching as many people as he could. Hamilton's penultimate leg, Noah Creighton (Jr.) put the team within striking distance of Desert Vista and Corona Del Sol. Noah said about his split, "I was trying to stay the pace with DV and Corona, 'cause I knew we had David Nelsen anchoring and he can do anything he puts his mind to it." anchor David Nelsen (Jr.) overtook Desert Vista's Jackson Hickey (Sr.) around the final bend and delivered the victory for the Huskies. This season, Nelsen ran 1:55.80 at Willie Williams and was ranked top 5 for both 800 and 1600. Best of luck to these guys as they return 3 of their squad this year starting with Cross Country in the fall.
