Cherokee Trail
Trail are ranked 3rd in the State of Colorado and 2nd among 5A girls teams. Cameron McConnell (Fr.) and Caitlin McConnell (Sr.) are the sibling duo at the helm of the Cherokee Trail Cougars, Cameron being the faster of the two, currently. At Liberty Bell, Cameron placed 4th in the Sweepstakes race running 17:44 for 5km. Meanwhile, Caitlin finished 9th with an 18:05 PR in the same race. Last year, the elder McConnell placed 11th at the CHSAA Cross Country State Championships, and she's also demonstrated some solid aerobic strength too. With the McConnells they could take the win, but they'll have two other stellar Colorado squads to beat.
