The Page Sand Devils finished 5th at the Desert Twilight Festival as the top team in the State on Friday night with an average time of 15:58. Meanwhile, on Saturday Flagstaff had a phenomenal showing at the Mustang Challenge. Specifically, their boys carry a 1-5 spread of only 25 and-a-half seconds. The Eagles' strength has always been in their pack proximity and look very formidable to repeat as Division 2 Champions.
Highland and Desert Vista are currently the top ranked teams in Division I with their 1-5 averages both under 16-minutes thanks to their respective super-low sticks, junior Leo Daschbach and Senior Lee Nasewytewa. The Highland Hawks hold a slight advantage over the Desert Vista by nine points, however Desert Vista managed to overtake Highland at the Desert Twilight Festival. Though the Thunder have closed the gap with their no. 4 man, Arizona newcomer Josh Lowry (Sr.), it's still anyone's game come November.
Northland Prep are now the top ranked in Division IV thanks to their core nucleus Brandon Bounds, Micah Stanton, and Hayden Anderson, all with under 17-minutes with PR performances from Desert Twilight. North Phoenix Prep and Hopi follow with 85 points and 89 points, projected respectively.
