What are your goals for the upcoming season:

I’m hoping to place high in all of our meets and go under 15:00 by the end of the season (hopefully at Nike Regionals). We also have a really good team this year so I’m excited to see how far we can go.

How is your summer training going?   Your favorite workout?  What kind of summer mileage do you run?

Summer training went really well this year. I did around 80 miles a week. Our workouts were usually mile repeats once a week.

How long have you been running and how did you get started:

I’ve been running since I joined my middle school’s track team in 6th grade.

Which meets will you be running this year?

Sole Sports, Chandler Invite, Conley, Twilight, State, NXR, and a few others.

What are your favorite and toughest courses to run in State and out of State?

My favorite course is Twilight/Nike Cross Southwest (Toka Sticks) because it’s flat, fast, and there is a lot of competition. In my opinion, the toughest course is either Conley or State.

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

My favorite memories would probably be just hanging out with the team. They’re like a second family.

What do you look forward to the most this season?

This year we have a lot of good returning runners as well as some new ones so I’m excited to see what the team can do.

Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?

It is close between a few but I would have to say Nike Cross last year. I went into the race relaxed and with no specific goal in mind. I ended up running a big pr and feeling good the whole race.

When you are not running what do you like to do?

Sleep. Hang out with the team.

Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?

I usually swim a few times a week and sometimes lift weights afterwards.

How have your coaches influenced you overall?

My coaches have helped me so much these past years. They have supported me in running and other aspects of life. I really can’t thank them enough.

Are you considering running after college?

I want to run competitively in college. I haven’t made plans past that but I’m sure I’ll keep running after college.
