What are your goals for the upcoming season:

To place and medal in the top 10 at state / To get under a 15:45 in a 5K

 

How is your summer training going?   Your favorite workout?  What kind of summer mileage do you run?

Summer training was great - my favorite workout is our circuit training, and I averaged 50 miles per week.
 

How long have you been running and how did you get started:

I have been running since 7th grade.  Because I didn’t make the sprint finals in track (7th grade), my friend Logan convinced me to time trial in the 800 meter.  On my first ever 800, I qualified in the finals, and placed 2nd just under my friend Logan.  I stuck with distance running from that point on.
 

Which meets will you be running this year?

 I’m starting at the Chandler Invitational, then Ojo Rojo, Doug Conley, Twilight and all that jazz.

 

What are your favorite and toughest courses to run in State and out of State?

Twilight has to be my favorite, and Doug Conley is the toughest (but I still love that race).
 

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

The best memory was our state championship in 2011, and then our 2012 runner up in state championship.

 

What do you look forward to the most this season?

I am looking forward to racing hard and proving myself, and finishing strong with my team.

 

Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?

 It has to be state!!!

 

When you are not running what do you like to do?

Walk

 

Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?

I do body weight training and swim occasionally.

 

How have your coaches influenced you overall?

My coaches have honestly been the best examples.  I appreciate the lessons they teach in running and life.  We are all about the team!
 

Are you considering running in college?

I would love the experience of running in college and I would work my tail off.
