What are your goals for the upcoming season:

Stay healthy, run a PR and put myself in good position to be a contender at State.

 

How is your summer training going?   Your favorite workout?  What kind of summer mileage do you run?

Summer Training went well.  I took a few weeks off after Track then built up a good base. My favorite work out would have to be 200’s uphill.

 

How long have you been running and how did you get started:

I started running in 7th grade after watching my older brother run in middle school.

 

Which meets will you be running this year?

Sole, Ojo Rojo, Doug Conley, and Twilight

 

What are your favorite and toughest courses to run in State and out of State?

My favorite race would have to be Twilight especially my freshman year when they still did the fireworks for each race. The toughest course is State. I haven’t run anywhere outside of Arizona and do not have plans to do so this year.

 

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

Twilight freshman year. First experience of twilight just blew me away.

 

What do you look forward to the most this season?

The end of the year when it is not 110 outside.

 

Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?

Finishing 2nd at state in the 3200 (meter run) last year.

 

When you are not running what do you like to do?

Hang out with my friends and work as a lifeguard.

 

Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?

I lift, bike, and occasionally swim.

 

How have your coaches influenced you overall?

Coach Applebach has been coaching me since I was a freshman and really introduced me to the science of running. Coach Bolton has motivated me and keeps running fun.
