What are your goals for the upcoming season:
I want to be a state champion
I want to go to nationals as individual and team
I want to be in the top 5 in nationals
How is your training going? What is your favorite workout?
Training is going really well. With each passing workout I feel stronger. Early in the season I struggled to run long distances but as the season has progressed it has become much easier. Often I visualize myself competing against the competition and find myself more determined than ever to perform at my best.
My favorite workout is a fahrtlek
What are your favorite and toughest courses to run in State and out of State?
My favorite course to run on in state is Chandler. The toughest course to run on in state is the Doug Conley meet at Rolling Hills Golf Course.
So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?
So far in my high school career, my favorite race was Desert Twilight. I really enjoyed all the energy of the race and the crowd, running in the dark, and the great competition
What do you look forward to the most this season?
The thing that I look forward to the most this season is running at my first EVER state meet.
Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?
Out of all my running accomplishments so far, the one that stands out the most was when I won the Doug Conley Invitational.
When you are not running what do you like to do?
When I am not running I like to:
-play Ping-Pong
-read
- go on bike rides with my family
-hang out with my team
Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?
I cross trained during the summer. I was on the swim team, lifted weights with my team, and ran. Since then I have not been cross-training.
How have your coaches influenced you overall?
My coaches have influenced me bunches. They have taught me how to never give up, run MY race, to believe in myself and be determined every single day.
