the best we can!

How is your  training going?   Your favorite workout?

Training this season has been great! My favorite workout is any type of track workout.

How long have you been running and how did you get started:

I started running in sixth grade because it was one of the only non-cut sports. I didn’t become serious about competing until the summer before eighth grade.

What are your favorite and toughest courses to run in State and out of State?

I have only run four meets in high school so far, so I do not have many courses to compare. In state, I love Twilight, and out of state, Woodbridge was by far the fastest course I have ever run on

So far in your high school career, what is your favorite cross country race or cross country memory?

Going to Woodbridge was a great experience for me. It was so much fun to spend time with my teammates on the bus, in the hotel, and at the beach.

What do you look forward to the most this season?

The end of this season is coming up fast, and I look forward to finishing it out strong. Hopefully our hard work will pay off and take us all the way to nationals.

Out of all your running accomplishments so far, which stands out the most?

This previous summer, I went to track nationals and was very happy with my 17th place finish in the 3000.

When you are not running , what do you like to do?

Outside of running, I enjoy spending time with friends, reading, and watching movies.

Do you cross train (lift, swim, bike etc)?

I lift twice a week in PE, and now that it is the end of the season I have stopped cross-training in order to keep my legs fresh.

How have your coaches influenced you overall?

My coach, Coach Messer, has been an amazing influence on my running. He has helped me to not worry about outcome, but to simply honor the process, and everything will fall into place.
