Brophy Alumnus, Will Firth (now running for Rice University), will be heading to the NCAA Nationals as an individual after placing 12th at the NCAA Division 1 XC South Central Region Championships this morning in Waco Texas. Firth is a redshirted sophomore for Rice and ran a time of 30:32.7 over the 10K course. Firth was the top runner for Rice running an average time of 4:55 with splits of: 2.9K - 8:53; 5K - 14:53; 7.9K - 24:25; and 9K - 27:29.
Rice University finished 5th (of 21 teams) with 167 points. Arkansaw won the region championships with 34 points over Texas ith 37 points.
