Haley Wolf (Desert Vista) opened her season at the Woodbridge Cross Country Classic. Haley's time of 17:41 was the 2nd fastest freshman time in the elite Girls Sweepstake race and puts her at AZ#1 and US#13 for 3 miles. Caroline McClelland and Caroline Liddy, both from Xavier College Prep, also placed well at the Woodbridge Meet with times of 17:59 and 18:33 for AZ#2 and #3.
Maya Smith (Northland Prep) leads all freshman girls in the 5K distance with a 19:21 time from the Four Corners Invitational. Jesselyn Bries (Sandra Day O'Connor) sets at AZ#2 with a 19:32 from the Adobe Invite followed by Ava Hamilton (Chandler) with a 19:36 from the Ojo Rojo Invite.
