Arizona's Outstanding Juniors - Week 5

Daangoiina Haven from Ganado HS leads the junior girls with her 7th place finish (17:48.21) at the Desert Twilight Invitational.  Xavier College Prep's Jane Miller takes 2nd with a time of 17:59.08 putting her at 15th at the Desert Twilight Meet.  Megan Reniewicki (Arcadia - 18:04.70) and Corinne Clarkson (Red Mountain - 18:25.05) round out the top four juniors in meeting the Milesplit National Elite Gold Standard of 18:45.

Desert Vista's Xavier Esparza finished 8th at the Desert Twilight Invitational with a time of 15:22.45 making him the fastest junior in the state.  Abdi Aden from McClintock was just 5 seconds back with a 15:27.57 followed by Tyler Beauchamp (Saguaro) with a 15:30.36, DJ Harris (Desert Vista) in 15:36.27 and Cade Burks (Perry) with a 15:38.40.  All five boys met the Milesplit National Elite Gold Standard of 15:45.
